LAUNCH OF SENIORLINK
ValleyLink Awarded $30 Thousands Grant from The Foundation Of Senior Action To Launch SeniorLink Project.
ValleyLink is proud to announce the receipt of $30 thousands grant from The Foundation of Senior Action to support the launch of the SeniorLink project in collaboration of the Senior Centers Coalition and Dubai Health Community Relations Office. With these funds, and the support of the partners, ValleyLink will be equipping two community rooms at Emirates Towers Senior Center and Jabal Ali Senior centers and will be supporting the training of our senior citizens.
The launch of the SeniorLink project will take place at the Emirates Towers Senior Center during the National Mental Health week, on October 20th, 2019, where the project consists of documentation of our nation’s stories told by our senior citizens and written by our younger generations.
The aim is to enhance the involvement of our senior citizens, to gain a greater knowledge about our nation’s and to bring our younger generations closer to the elderly. The stories can be any real life story worth telling to our future generation.

Senior citizens, aged 60 and above

Students in any school in Dubai, aged 12 and above.

In person, at the Emirates Towers Senior Center on level 34 , between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm

The deadline for the first phase of the project will be on October 11, 2019 at the end of the National Mental Health Week.

Volunteers required to help design the website for the Senior Centers and to help in training our senior citizens. If interested, please contact our project manager/
The senior citizens participating in the project will be invited to receive on-site training workshops that would empower with basic computer skills and will enable them to participate in storytelling and surveys online.
Encourage your elderly relatives and friends to take part of this amazing project and to share stories that you would love to share widely in the community.
